World War One Literature We will read two poems about being a soldier in WWI and a first-hand account about how soldiers prepared for trench warfare. Each piece of literature will have a set of questions that you will need to answer as part of your assignment checklist due at the end of the unit.

Wednesday, February 24th
The Great War YouTube, Hard and Muddy Times We will start today’s class with the following YouTube video: Hard and Muddy Times: The Trench Warfare. The video is 12:02 long.
World War One Games We will play a few WWI related games today on the laptops.
First, try to complete the WWI Choose Your Own Adventure Game first. This game gives you a good sense of how life was in the trenches. If you have earbuds, feel free to use them. Otherwise, keep the volume at a low level.
Once you are through, take a stab at the Trench Warfare Game. See if you can get through all four missions successfully. Read the battle details and weapon descriptions to make wise decisions.
