Age of Exploration Part 3, Spain's Conquest in the Americas Lecture We will discuss key concepts from the third part of the Age of Exploration Unit, Spain's Conquest in the Americas. Students are expected to have their guided notes completed before this lecture.

Explorer Primary Document Packets Students will examine and analyze a set of primary and secondary documents written by four figures from the Age of Exploration: Prince Henry, Christopher Columbus, Amerigo Vespucci, and Hernan Cortez. They will read over the documents, annotate, and write summaries and reflections about what was said and what happened.

Mankind, The Story of all of Us, New World Episode We will watch an episode of the History Channel series, Mankind, The Story of all of Us that covers many of the main events of the Age of Exploration. Students will follow along the episode with a viewing guide sheet that they are expected to complete by the end of the episode.

Friday, September 18th
